    Course Description & Calendar

This is an accelerated crash course for the College Board AP Calculus AB Course and Exam. In four weeks we will be covering all the topics on the exam. Calculus is the study of continuous change, in the same way that geometry studies shapes and algebra studies operations.

Welcome to Week 1 of Helyx Florida's AP Calculus AB Jumpstart Program! Taught by peers and led by peers! As of 8:00AM EST, Units 1 and 2 have been updated with all the most recent course curricula. In this first week, we will be covering foundations of Calculus, including a review of precalc and limits/continuity, but remember, this should NOT be your exclusive source of information; this is an accelerated zero-academic-credit 4-week course, and due to the pacing, some information relevant to the AP exam may be left out.

As such, Jumpstart AP is NOT sufficient for self-studiers: it should complement a class you will take soon or other extensive resources you are studying.

If you have any questions or concerns any time during the program, feel free to contact Meryl or Suhas (Discord, office hours, or email information on the course syllabus); we will respond within 48 hours of your inquiry. Good luck! (P.S. during the week, you may see updates in the Unit 3 and Unit 4 sections. These units will not be fully updated until 8:00AM EST August 10, 2020!)
